2 Use of personal data

Personal data is all information that relates to a natural person. This includes, for example, name, telephone number or email address.

We use this data to ensure the operation of our platform. This includes the connection to the platform, the comfortable and secure use as well as the administration of the platform.

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if we are entitled to do so in accordance with the provisions of data protection law. This would be possible,

  • if the further processing by third parties is necessary for the fulfilment of your request or order

  • if the processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations.

3 The processing of personal data 

If certain data fields are designated as mandatory fields during collection, we require this data for the desired service or to conclude the contract. The provision of data is of course at your discretion, even in the case of mandatory fields. Failure to provide this information may result in the contract with us not being concluded.

3.1 Participation in events

The information you provide when registering for an event or registering for an event on behalf of your employer is initially processed by us for planning and preparing the event and for issuing the invoice. The information marked as mandatory is required for your participation and invoicing. The voluntary provision of further data facilitates processing and completes the registration profile.

We also process your data from participation in events for advertising and customer analyses (see below 3.1.3).

We process your details to deal with your queries and comments.

3.1.2 Online account

We process your data to set up an individual data record with which we can track your previous activities and participations with us.

3.1.3 Advertising

We process the data from your participation in events and other data collected outside the internet for the further development of our offers.

If the address data was not collected directly from you, it comes from publicly accessible sources (e.g. the Internet).

We also inform our event participants about further offers by telephone.

3.1.4 E-mail advertising and newsletters

If you have provided us with your e-mail address, we will also inform you by e-mail about other events and offers that may be of interest to you. Of course, you can object to this at any time.

3.1.5 Storage period for advertising

We store your data collected for advertising purposes until we receive a revocation of your consent or your objection to the processing of your data for advertising purposes.

3.1.6 Photography and filming at events

In the course of our events and video productions, photos or film sequences of you may also be taken. The rights to the images belong exclusively to the creator and organiser or, if applicable, to the company organising the event.

3.2 Use of the online offer

3.2.1 Use of our contact form

If you have any questions, we offer you the possibility to contact us via a form provided on the website. In doing so, it is necessary to provide a valid email address in order to be able to reply to you. The data we collect will be deleted after we have dealt with your enquiry.

3.2.2 Ordering and using goods and services

With your registration, we create a customer account and activate an authorisation system. This allows you individual access to the platform. You can also create a free account for test purposes. At your request, we will delete the account again.

3.2.3 Use of the e-learning content

In order to ensure a comfortable and didactically meaningful use of the online learning content, we store your usage behaviour with regard to the selected learning content, the time of use and the learning progress achieved if review questions are asked for knowledge transfer. We do not pass on your personal learning behaviour to third parties in an unanonymised form.

3.2.4 Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your computer's hard drive by your web browser or other programs. They are stored locally on your computer's hard drive and kept ready for later retrieval.

We use cookies,

  • to enable the necessary technical functions,

  • in order to make our Internet presence user-friendly and to optimally adapt it to your needs,

  • to evaluate visits to our website for marketing and optimisation purposes.

Under certain conditions, cookies are also set by third-party providers to enable third-party functions (e.g. integration of YouTube videos).

Session cookies are only used for the respective session. These cookies are deleted again after the session is ended, i.e. after leaving our website or when the browser window is closed.

Other cookies remain on your terminal device for a longer period of time and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

3.2.5 Deactivation of cookies / revocation of your consent

You can set your web browser to notify you when cookies are set or to reject all or at least certain cookies (e.g. only third-party cookies) in order to generally prohibit web tracking and retargeting. 3.2.6 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics ( for the purpose of demand-oriented design and optimisation of our website. The information is used to evaluate and continuously improve the use of the website. The IP addresses are anonymised so that no personal conclusions can be drawn.

3.2.7 Logging

Every time our websites are accessed, data about this process is temporarily stored and processed in a log file. The processing is necessary to provide the service for technical reasons and then to ensure system security or for documentation purposes.

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services there.

3.2.9 Embedded YouTube videos

YouTube videos are embedded on our website, which are not stored by us.

When you activate or play the videos, cookies from YouTube or Google may be stored and/or read on your end device and data may be transferred.

If you do not want YouTube or Google to receive data about you through the use of our website, you must not activate the videos.

After activating the video, the data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have a user account with YouTube or Google via which you are logged in, or whether you do not have a user account. If you are logged in, this data can be directly assigned to your account. If you want to avoid this as much as possible, you must log out of the visit before activating the video.

4 Duration of storage

Your personal data will be stored for the duration of the legal retention period and then deleted. In the case of continuing contractual relationships, the data will be stored for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of the contract and then deleted.

5 Data security

We take technical and organisational security precautions to protect your personal data and to ensure the protection of your rights and compliance with the applicable data protection regulations of the EU and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Our security measures also include encryption of your data. All information you enter online is technically encrypted and only then transmitted.
