Overview

LEAN PRODUCTION LOGISITCS

In-house logistics is taking on an increasingly important role in manufacturing companies. It is developing from a pure supply service provider to a success factor for lean and efficient production.

Decreasing quantities with a simultaneous increase in the number of variants require differentiated concepts that enable the balancing act between optimal supply to production and low-effort logistics. For this, logistics and production must work hand-in-hand and be designed together to enable a low-waste factory.

The seminar builds on the successful concept of "value stream design" and expands it to include design guidelines for production logistics. The result is a lean overall system for optimal factory processes.

Contents

  • Targeted analysis of existing production logistics

  • Transparent presentation of processes and potential for improvement in production logistics

  • Value stream compatible design of production logistics based on design guidelines

  • Targeted use of Industry 4.0 tools for production logistics

Target Group

Those responsible in the areas of logistics, production, industrial engineering with reference to parts provision and internal logistics. Ideally, you have basic knowledge of value stream design

GOALS OF THE SEMINAR

In lean production, logistics is often seen as a necessary waste and is therefore in the area of tension between production-appropriate material supply and minimum logistics effort.

The value stream-based analysis and design procedure enables the systematic development of customised logistics for one's own production. The design guidelines lead step by step to an ideal logistics system. Using practical examples and an accompanying exercise, we show you the practical implementation. Tips and tricks on digitalisation and implementation on the shop floor round off the seminar.
